World Hindi Divas-2019 in Gaborone on 16.2.2019

High Commission of India in Gaborone organised World Hindi Diwas-2019 on 16.2.2019. At this occasion, Hon. Ms. Botlogile Tshireletso, Minister of Local Government & Rural Development of the Republic of Botswana attended the function as Chief Guest. She observed that multilingualism was key in that it eased adaptation. Further, she noted that it provided additional job security and advancement opportunities in today's uncertain economic times. High Commissioner of India Dr. Rajesh Ranjan said that Hindi was one of the 22 official languages in India. He explained that the first World Hindi Day was celebrated in India for the first time in 2006, one of the objectives beign to spread the glory of Hindi language.
