PASSPORT FOR INDIAN NATIONALS


Welcome to the Passport Seva at Indian Embassies and Consulates. Only Indians living abroad are eligible to apply for Passport Services using Passport Seva System under the jurisdiction of the respective Indian Missions (Embassy/High Commission/Consulate) abroad.


Step # 1

Visit the website for online Indian Passport application:

https://portal6.passportindia.gov.in/Online/index.html


Step # 2

In order to apply for an Indian Passport and filling up the application online, please Register by creating an account therein and move forward on the website to complete the online part of the application.


Step # 3

Once done, take a print, sign in blue or black ink and visit HCI Gaborone along with supporting documents between 9.00 am and 12.00 noon on High Commission's working days.


Step # 4

Applications will be checked at the High Commission's counter and the applicant will be requested to deposit the fee. A Receipt for the fee will be issued in the name of the applicant.


Step # 5

Once the Passport is ready for collection, applicant will be informed and the Passport can be obtained from the High Commission upon reproduction of the receipt issued by HCI Gaborone.

Please pay:

Pula 1055/- for a Regular Passport – 36 pages – 10 years validity

Pula 1395/- for a Regular Passport – 60 pages – 10 years validity

Pula 715/- for a Minor's Passport – 36 pages – 5 years validity or till 18 year of applicant's age

(If a minor applicant has completed 15 years of age and is applying for passport, he/she has the option to apply for a regular 10 year passport (Fee Pula 1055/- for 36-page booklet or Pula 1395/- for 60-page booklet)

Pula 2075/- for Replacement for a Lost/Damaged Passport – 36 Pages – 10 years validity

Pula 2415/- for a Replacement for a Lost/Damaged Passport – 60 Pages – 10 years validity

Pula 235/- for an Emergency Certificate

SELF-attested copy of Proof of Address (if there is a change)

Note:

(a) To obtain an Indian Passport for a new-born child, it is essential to first register the child at https://indiancitizenshiponline.nic.in/Home2.aspx?formcode=09 for obtaining the Indian nationality, within one year of the birth of the child.

(b) To get a child registered as an Indian national, at least one of the child's parents must be an Indian citizen.
