Know India Programme (2017-2018)

 Know India Programme of the Ministry of External Affairs is a three-week orientation programme for diaspora youth conducted with a view to promote awareness on different facets of life in India and the progress made by the country in various fields e.g. economic, industrial, education, science & technology, communication & information Technology, culture. KIP provide a unique forum for students & young professionals of Indian origin to visit India, share their views, expectations & experiences and to develop closer bonds with the contemporary India.

            On 17 June 2017 EAM inaugurated a portal for Know India Programme (KIP), the Ministry's flagship initiative for engagement with young overseas Indians. The portal www.kip.gov.in enables Indian-origin youth to apply online for KIP programmes.

            This year i.e. in 2017-18, we will organise six KIPs with participation of 40 overseas Indians in each programme.

The schedule of KIPs has been finalised and can be seen online at www.kip.gov.in. Indian-origin youth can submit applications online for the following first four KIPs to be held in 2017 i.e. 41, 42, 43 & 44:

            45th and 46th KIPs will be held in early 2018. Applications for these KIPs will be accepted in October.        

            The applicants can indicate their preferences online at www.kip.gov.in for any three above mentioned KIPs.

            Applications can be submitted online at www.kip.gov.in by the overseas Indians from 23 June to 21 July 2017. Applicants may please register directly under intimation to the High Commission of India, Gaborone.
